How to stretch wrap the pallet

How to pack a pallet?
Pallet packing is a fairly simple process that can be done by hand or by machine. In this article, we will focus on how to pack a pallet by hand.
Step 1: Select and prepare the palette
The first thing to do when preparing to pack a pallet of products is to choose a suitable pallet for packing.
Assuming you have pallets in your warehouse.
The first step is to have a pallet to place your products on.
You will then want to place the pallet on your warehouse floor in an area with enough space that your workers can safely walk around pallet continuously.
Generally, you should leave about 5 or 6 feet between each pallet. You must ensure that if your workers are wrapping multiple pallets at the same time, there is enough space between each pallet so that your workers do not bump into each other as they wrap the pallets.
Once you've placed your palette(s), it's time to stack the products.
Step 2: Stacking the pallet
In an ideal world, you would stack boxes of similar shapes and sizes. However, depending on the variety of products you sell, you may sometimes have multiple packages.
Suppose you stack pallets with different products of odd shapes and sizes. In this case, the packaging is a bit complicated. Finally, we recommend the use of stretch film for your business.
For simplicity, let's assume you're wrapping pallets from square or rectangular boxes. In this case, keeping the boxes on top of each other is a very complicated task. But you can easily keep the products together by using stretch film.
Picking up a pallet is somewhat like a game. When stacking your boxes, you want to make each layer on the pallet as neat and even as possible.
Step 3: Packing the pallet
The next step in this process is wrapping the pallet with stretch film. Once you've packed the boxes or product containers as neatly and evenly as possible into a square or rectangle, it's time to wrap the pallet with stretch film.
There are two types of stretch film for this purpose, manual stretch film and machine stretch film. In this article, we are focusing on manual stretch film, this type of stretch film is applied by hand.
If you are wrapping the pallet using only your hands, you must first prepare a roll of hand stretch film.
After preparing the roll, you need to find the corner of the end of the film and separate a part of it from the roll.
The next step is to place this piece of film on the base of the pallet and place it under the corner of one of the boxes at the bottom of the pallet.
Once this is done, you are now ready to pack. Holding the roll of film between your hands and holding it vertically, go around the pallet, making sure that with each round, one layer of film wraps around the boxes, with each layer slightly overlapping the previous layer.
While doing this, it is necessary to pull the film firmly on each corner and make sure that the cargo is properly packed.
It should be noted that the only way to pack tightly and safely is to use stretch film. You can use a special manual stretch film device to ensure the packaging. Because these devices can significantly more and better than a human to pull and restrain the load.
Do this from the bottom of the pallet to the top and back down again until several layers of stretch have completely covered all four sides of the pallet.
Once you have determined that the pallet is strong and secure, you need to cut the film from the roll.
Your pallet is now properly packed and ready to be placed in a warehouse or truck for shipping to customers.
Is there a better way to pack your pallet?
While hand packing is a perfectly acceptable method of packing your pallets, it is not the best or safest option. Let's say you want to save money, increase safety and ensure the best possible load retention while maximizing the value of your stretch film. In this case, we suggest to use a special stretch film packaging machine for pallets.
